Maybe living audaciously isn’t a bad thing. Maybe having the nerve to try something new is something us ladies should be doing more of?
Have you ever looked at someone and said to yourself, “Man, I wish I had her guts. I wish I was brave enough to do life like she does”?
I have, on plenty occasions. I regularly find and admire these women living their most audacious lives, believing they are good enough and worthy of success no matter their age, gender, or skills. I’m talking about #GirlBosses, I’m talking about #Solopreneurs, I’m talking about sisters doing it for themselves, because, why not?
I always wished I could be audacious and go out there and just do my thing like they do. That was until I realised that just the idea that there is something out there for me, a purpose to my life other than mundane routine, is audacious.
“Anything’s possible if you’ve got enough nerve.”
– J K Rowling
It is incredibly bold and daring to believe that if you make the jump that success, happiness, and adventure will be waiting for you on the other side. Especially in our scary, chaotic, and unpredictable world.
Simply by believing that something more exists for you, you are living audaciously. Simply by feeling uncomfortable in just accepting what you ‘should’ be doing, you are being brave. Simply by recognising and spending time on ideas that set your soul on fire, you are being courageous. After all, you get in life what you have the courage to ask for!
When I first began writing this post a few weeks ago, my dreams were just that, dreams. Since then I have surprised myself by resigning from my job, I have created a plan of action, and I’ve set up a website for my new venture! Eeek!
So, here begins a series of blogs titled, “Living Audaciously”, where I’ll be interviewing a collection of inspirational ladies, who are doing just that – living their most audacious life. Intended to inspire, to inform, and to help you realise living audaciously isn’t as far fetched for you as you might have believed.
